This is a question we seem to get a lot.
Is pole dancing hard? If it was easy, everyone would be doing it but that doesn’t mean you can’t get on that pole and build stamina, strength and flexibility but it also doesn’t mean that pole dancing will ever be ‘easy’.
Pole dancing forces you to use parts of your body that are otherwise virtually unused and you will get pain in areas you never even imagined aching. Everything from your toes to your fingertips are used up when on the pole and extreme focus and strength also go hand in hand.
This sport isn’t easy, which is why I imagine they are putting it into the Olympics.
Your stamina has to be at an amazing level, your focus has to be perfect, your flexibility is something you need to work on constantly and your strength is at the core of all of this. If you can’t lift yourself off of the ground, you won’t get very far.
A lot goes into perfecting your moves on the pole and no, it isn’t easy but you can make it easier by doing a small few things to advance and progress in other areas. Below I have outlined some of the top things you can do in order to make pole dancing a little less hard.
Practice At Home…
Something I do is practice at home. If I only attend one or two pole dance classes a week, I know I won’t progress as much as I would if I did 6 classes a week. I practice pole dancing at home and you can too, it has actually taught me so much more than any lesson I have ever been too. My Favorite Online Pole Dance Class Review is really worth the read and definitely worth checking out if you want to make pole dancing a little less hard and progress in so many different areas.
Do Other Workouts…
If you’re really dedicated and want to make pole dancing easier, practice in other areas of your body. Go on runs to build up stamina, complete ab exercises to progress your core and lift weights in order to gain upper body strength. These three things combined make pole dancing a lot easier and allow you to see progression at a much faster rate.
Pole Dancing Is Hard But Worth It…
Pole dancing is intense, especially when you first start out. However, if you can stick to it and master a few moves you will see massive gains on your overall body. Skin will tighten, fat will shed and becoming toned will be a guaranteed.
However, don’t let all of this put you off. Pole dancing is an incredible sport that you can enjoy at home (like me) or in classes with other pole dancers. It teaches you a lot about yourself, it helps you tone up your body, lose weight (if that’s what you’re looking for) and engage in a new and exciting hobby that takes patience, time and dedication.
Pole dancing is beautiful and although it can be very hard to master, this shouldn’t deter you from trying it out. If we all shied away from the hard work then pole dancing wouldn’t even be a thing. You can also just stay pretty beginner and enjoy pole dancing as a more erotic, cardio workout rather than something you want to perfect.
